Day 1 :
Materuni Waterfall & Coffee Tour
Your first stop is the impressive Materuni Waterfalls, reached after a scenic 40-minute walk through lush countryside. Along the way, your guide will share insights about Chagga culture, village life, and the surrounding flora and fauna.
On clear days, you may even catch a glimpse of the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The waterfall stands over 80 meters high, cascading into a natural pool below a perfect spot for a refreshing swim, so don’t forget your swimwear!
Cultural Experience & Local Lunch
After enjoying the waterfalls, return to the village for a traditional Chagga lunch prepared with fresh local ingredients.
You will also take part in a coffee-making experience, where you’ll learn how coffee is processed traditionally from bean to cup followed by tasting freshly brewed local coffee.
For a truly authentic touch, you’ll have the opportunity to sample traditional banana beer, a local specialty not to be missed.
