ITINERARY

Day 1 :

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins after breakfast in Arusha as you drive southwest to the iconic Tarangire National Park, a journey of about 2.5 hours. Tarangire is famous for its majestic baobab trees, large elephant herds, and the seasonal Tarangire River which draws in a variety of wildlife. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive in the park, with a picnic lunch in the wild, watching zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and perhaps even lions or leopards lurking near the riverbanks. After a fulfilling day of wildlife encounters, you’ll head to your lodge in or near the park for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature.

Day 2 :

Tarangire - Central Serengeti

After an early breakfast, you’ll depart Tarangire and journey northward toward the legendary Serengeti National Park, entering via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It’s a long but scenic drive of about 6-7 hours, filled with opportunities to see Maasai villages and stunning landscapes along the way. Once inside the Serengeti, game viewing begins immediately, with wildlife commonly seen right from the park gate. You’ll continue to the Central Serengeti’s Seronera area, known for its dense concentration of predators and resident wildlife. After an afternoon game drive, you’ll settle into your lodge or camp in the heart of the park for dinner and rest, preparing for the next day’s migration chase.

Day 3 :

Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Spend a full day on game drives exploring more of the Serengeti. Depending on the season and animal movement, your guide will take you to areas with the best wildlife activity. The Serengeti’s ecosystem is home to all of Africa’s iconic animals—lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, and possibly even the elusive leopard. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to camp for a hot lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. With the golden savannah stretching endlessly, every moment in Serengeti feels like a nature documentary in real life.

Day 4 :

Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti

After an optional early morning game drive in the Kogatende region, where you may catch big cats in the cool morning hours, you’ll begin your return journey to the Central Serengeti. This 4-5 hour drive is another opportunity to spot wildlife across the open plains. Arriving in Seronera by afternoon, you’ll continue game driving in this renowned big cat territory. The Central Serengeti offers fantastic year-round wildlife action, including elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, and large grazing herds. After an exciting day on the plains, you’ll return to your camp for a warm meal and your final night in Serengeti.

Day 5 :

Central Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

You’ll depart early from Central Serengeti and head back toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After reaching the rim, you’ll descend 600 meters into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater’s unique ecosystem is home to nearly every species found in East Africa, including the endangered black rhino, lions, buffalo, hippos, and flamingoes. It’s one of the best places in Tanzania for close-range wildlife viewing. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, you’ll ascend and begin the drive back to Arusha, where you’ll arrive in the late afternoon or early evening. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or directly at the airport for your departure, concluding your unforgettable safari journey.
