ITINERARY
Day 1 :
Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha, followed by a 2.5-hour scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its towering baobab trees and enormous elephant populations, Tarangire offers a true taste of wild Africa. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive across open woodlands and along the Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife such as buffalo, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and a variety of bird species. If you’re lucky, you might spot predators like lions or leopards resting in the shade. After a picnic lunch in the park, continue your afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge or tented camp near the park for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 :
Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, depart Tarangire and travel toward Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey takes approximately 6–7 hours with wildlife viewing opportunities en route. As you enter Serengeti through Naabi Hill Gate, the vast golden plains stretch endlessly before you. Begin your game drive in the Central Serengeti’s Seronera region, a wildlife-rich area known for frequent sightings of lions, cheetahs, and leopards. You’ll arrive at your lodge or tented camp in time for sundowners, dinner, and your first night in the world’s most famous safari destination.
Day 3 :
Serengeti Balloon Safari & Game Drives
Today begins with an early morning transfer to the Serengeti balloon launch site for a magical experience you’ll never forget. As the sun rises, drift silently over the Serengeti plains, watching wildlife from above—herds of elephants, giraffes, and perhaps even big cats on the move. The 1-hour flight concludes with a champagne bush breakfast, served in the wilderness. After breakfast, you’ll rejoin your guide for a full day of game driving, exploring different corners of the Central Serengeti. Depending on the season, you may follow migration herds or focus on predator action near the Seronera River. Return to camp in the late afternoon to relax and enjoy your final Serengeti sunset.
Day 4 :
Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After an early breakfast, you’ll leave the Serengeti behind and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, you’ll descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most biodiverse areas in Africa. The crater’s rich grasslands, forests, and soda lakes support a remarkable variety of animals including zebras, elephants, hippos, lions, hyenas, and—if you’re lucky—the endangered black rhino. After a half-day game drive and picnic lunch inside the crater, you’ll ascend to the rim and begin your return to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your incredible Tanzanian safari.
