Day 1 :
Arrival in Zanzibar – Stone Town & Prison Island
Upon arrival at Zanzibar International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Dot Am Adventure and transferred to Stone Town for check-in at Tembo House Hotel or a similar beachfront heritage hotel.
After settling in, enjoy a relaxing sail on a traditional wooden dhow to Prison Island (also known as Changuu Island). This historic island is famous for its giant Aldabra tortoises and fascinating past as a former detention and quarantine station.
Explore the island, learn about its rich history, take photos, and enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery before returning to Stone Town in the evening.
Overnight stay at Tembo House Hotel (or similar) on a Bed & Breakfast basis.
Day 2 :
Stone Town Cultural Tour – Departure
After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up for a half-day guided tour of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich in culture and history.
During the tour, you will explore:
The historic Old Fort
The iconic House of Wonders
Former slave market site
Narrow alleyways with beautifully carved wooden doors
