Mount Meru Trekking
Mount Meru Trekking (4,566m) takes you to the summit of Tanzania’s second-highest mountain, located within Arusha national park. Known for its dramatic scenery and rich wildlife, Mount Meru offers one of the most spectacular and rewarding trekking experiences in East Africa.
Your adventure with am adventure begins in Arusha with a detailed pre-trek briefing conducted by our professional mountain guides. From there, you will drive to Momella Gate, the official starting point of your trek. What makes Mount Meru unique is that the hike begins with an armed ranger escort, as the lower slopes are home to wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelope, and monkeys — offering a rare opportunity to combine trekking with wildlife viewing.
